Podograph – Haris Mat, Foot Imprinter Kit is portable, easy and simple foot imprinter device ideal for the regular clinic usage. This device helps the consultants, paramedics as well as the technicians for effective screening of plantar pressure area.

It’s a well known fact that early identification of high-risk areas in the case of diabetic and neuropathic patients can help to save limbs as an effective amputation prevention initiative. The podograph is designed to measure the plantar pressure of the patient weighing upto 140 Kgs and the following are the three easy steps to measure the plantar pressure

Step 1 – Inking and Preparation
The rubber membrane in the hodograph has two sides. One is a smooth side and the other is wefted and looks like a graph. This lid is turnable and the technician first inks the wefted side and then turns it around and exposes the smooth side and also places the footprint taking a sheet.

Step 2 – Imprinting the patient’s right foot
The patient stands on the rubber membrane of the Harris Mat Imprinter and the pressure exerted by the weight of the leg transfers the ink from the membrane into footprint taking a sheet. The image recorded on the footprint taking sheet is the image of the insole surface area of the patient. The footprint taking sheet is taken for the record.

Step 3- Imprinting the patient’s left foot
Once again reposition the membrane and ink the surface. Repeat the same process of the right foot to the left also and the footprint taking sheet is taken for the record.
